To the Medical Center Guild Website

Since its inception in 1943 as a social group for wives of physicians serving at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine and the North Carolina Baptist Hospital, the Medical Center Guild has evolved into an organization of spouses of faculty, house staff, and administration of the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. The Guild’s mission is to provide opportunities for leadership, growth, friendship, service, and self enrichment to its talented and diverse membership through a variety of activities, as well as to provide funding for otherwise unmet need of benevolence at the Medical Center.

In 2000, the Guild pledged $25,000.00 to establish an endowed Medical Center Guild Medical Student Scholarship Fund. Our pledge has been met and in 2004, the scholarship was awarded to its first recipient. The Guild continues to fund raise and contribute to the endowment each year.
